FFC #1 Florida 504 Lender in 2005-2006
Florida First Capital finished the 2006 fiscal year ending 9/30 as Florida’s leading provider of financial assistance through the SBA 504 program. Florida small businesses received over $388 million dollars in 504 project loans thanks to the efforts of FFC, $33 million dollars more than the #2 Florida CDC.
“Of the over $954 million put on Florida streets by the 504 program, FFC contributed 41%. This record-breaking assistance is a testament to our resolve to continue to strengthen Florida’s small businesses,” said Todd G. Kocourek, President & CEO of Florida First Capital.
“Credit for this record performance is also due to FFC’s sixty-four partners, who committed over $224 million dollars in first mortgages to our 504 projects,” he continued.
FFC ended the fiscal year with 302 Florida 504 loan authorizations totaling over $163 million in 504 funds, and created over 2400 new jobs within the state.
During the same year, FFC also made 12 loans under its new FLEX loan program, which yielded another $10 million in direct assistance to Florida small businesses.
