FFCFC 504 Brings Kansas City Beef to Downtown Jacksonville

Featuring the finest quality Kansas beef, Bard and Linda McLean opened Plaza III The Steakhouse in December 2005. Located in the Hyatt Regency Riverfront Hotel on the St. Johns River in downtown Jacksonville, the restaurant serves USDA Prime aged, chops, steak, seafood, with a full bar. “Bringing quality steaks and first-class service to a major metropolitan area has long been our dream,” say the McLeans. “And, without the help of FFCFC’s staff and their 504 loan product, this dream would never have come true.”

“For almost 25 years, we have helped entrepreneurs like Bard McLean expand their businesses through our 504 Loan Program,” said Kristen Tackett, Vice President and FFCFC’s Northeast Florida Business Development Officer. “We specialize in doing the hard-to-make loans such as restaurants – loans that traditional lenders shy away from. In this case,” she added, “It was a new restaurant operating in leased space and financing leasehold improvements and restaurant furniture and fixtures.”

The restaurant occupies 6,400 square feet on the hotel’s ground floor and can seat up to 300 in its main dining room, outdoor patio and two private dining rooms. The restaurant's beef supplies are flown in daily from the parent company farms in Kansas. Focusing on serving the business clientele from the surrounding commercial office buildings and the burgeoning nightlife of downtown Jacksonville, Plaza III competes well with the local Ruth Chris, Morton’s and The Tree steakhouses.

“We are nonprofit corporation specializing in complete solutions for small business financing. If your business needs smart financing options, turn to our experts and realize your small business dreams,” concluded Tackett.
