Florida First Capital Names Central Florida Business Development Officer

Jerry Mayes has joined FFCFC as business development officer for the Central Florida area, which includes Greater Orlando.

Mayes was most recently vice president of marketing for ICC Business Credit, Inc. In his new position, he will be responsible for assisting small businesses and lenders in Brevard, Citrus, Lake, Levy, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Sumter and Volusia counties. He has offices at both the Small Business Development Center at Seminole Community College in Sanford and FFC’s office at in the Disney/SBA National Entrepreneur Center in downtown Orlando.

Previously, Mayes was district manager with CIT Group, specializing in tax-based leasing and industrial development bonds, and a senior account manager with GE Capital Corporation. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Methodist College in North Carolina.

Mayes is a member of the Florida Economic Development Council, the Small Business Resource Network and the Secured Lenders of SE Florida.
